About Morpheus Ravenna

Morpheus has practiced the Craft for about twenty years, beginning as an adolescent in the Santa Cruz mountains of California, where she developed an intuitive Craft practice based on instictive connection with the forces of nature and book studies in witchcraft. She pursued witchcraft studies with Wiccan and family tradition teachers, followed by deeper coven training in Feri tradition witchcraft by Linnea and Andrada of Vanthe Coven. She was initiated by Vanthe in 1998. Since her initiation she has continued to deepen her studies in the Craft through partnerships with other Feri initiates, as well as studies in Underworld tradition via R.J. Stewart, folkloric Faery tradition and lore, and learnings arising from her dedication to the Gods and her work in land conservation. She is a priestess of the Morrígan.

Morpheus is a long time devotee of visual arts and creates works in oil paint, watercolor, and pen and ink, as well as body arts including henna and tattoo. Her work is primarily inspired by spiritual epiphany and the manifestations of the divine in image, symbol, and natural power.

Morpheus has studied Middle Eastern dance since 1996, including gypsy/tribal, Egyptian, and folkloric styles. She loves ecstatic dance and integrating dance and ritual. She occasionally performs and teaches at Pagan events and gatherings around the Bay Area.

Morpheus and her husband, Shannon, co-own and manage the Stone City Pagan Sanctuary, a pan-Pagan community resource and spiritual center located in rural Santa Clara County on the fringe of the San Francisco Bay Area. Stone City is home to the Henge, a ritual circle of standing stones dedicated to Pagan worship and magickal work. The sanctuary is also home to several other shrines and sacred sites and provides campground and hosting facilities for Pagan spiritual gatherings.

Morpheus assists with ritual leadership at seasonal ritual gatherings offered by Stone City, and contributes to various other spiritual events and gatherings throughout the year at Stone City. The sanctuary is also the location for her primary teaching practice where she works with an intimate student group for Feri training.
